Wide-field Imaging with a Piggyback Mount

The Basics with a Telescope

Adding the use of a telescope lets you not only capture night sky images from a much closer range, but it also allows you to use longer exposures. This means the images you take of the stars will be clearer and there will be more stars visible to use. Since most telescopes have internal tracking that automatically adjusts to the movement of the earth, the camera shutters can be kept opened longer.
