About this blog

January 5th, 2009

MyAstrophotography is (just another) blog about everything that is in connection with astronomy and photography.

You can find here general thoughts about astrophotography, techniques of capturing, equipment reviews, and other facts about astronomy and photography, regularly updated news from science and astronomy world, great images, critiques on them and so on.

I (the blog author, Primoz Cigler) am an enthusiastic astrophotographer based in Senovo, Slovenia and I have a lot of skills in astrophotography and astronomy. I’m a member of Astronomy Association NEK. I have had several standalone astrophotography exhibitions. Every year I take part of Astronomy camp in Pohorje (Slovenia) and I have been a mentor of astrophotography group in 2008.

I hope that you will enjoy reading. I’ll try to do my best and to represent astrophotography as one of my hobbies. No, it’s more then that. It’s my passion!

Yes, I was thinking about Dark Camp. I am going to MART this month and then I will decide, but very probably I will go. :)

This ia a very interesting and useful site for anyone wanting to learn more about astrophotography. I really appriciate the effort you have put in. In particular, it is those seamingly unimportant comments and observations which may seem trivial to the experienced, but which are most helpful to the beginner – they save lots of time!

I have recently returned to Astronomy after years of inactivity. I have renovated my 10″ F5 Newtonian OTA and have still to get a good mount. I intend to try some photography and your site is really inspiring –

    Cheers
